The Kisser, formerly known as smoocher, is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. They are a dark green variant of lips and attack with their huge pair of lips.

Characteristics

Kissers are upright slugs with dark green spotted backs, salmon underbellies and arms, and a comically oversized pair of pink lips. Their large mouths hide blue tongues. Kissers have gained the ability to exhale sweet breath on adventurers to put them to sleep.

Etymology

Kisser's original Japanese name, Buchuchunpa, is based on the word chu (ちゅっ), which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound of a kiss.
