The Awebergine is a recurring monster introduced in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in the Faraday region in the past and the Greenthumb Gardens region in the past.
Characteristics
Awebergines, like their woebergine cousins, are awesome anthropomorphic eggplants, but with goofy green funny faces and long plant-like luscious limbs, with a rich red-orange bulky bodies. The red and green colouration makes them look close to walking tomatoes, loving to dance in a way that sends foes into a fevered trance-like dance. They also call for help from their less beefy brethren in order to bulk out their numbers in a limp attempt to turn the tide in battle.

Etymology
Awebergine's English name is a combination of the words awe and aubergine, which is another word for eggplant. Their original Japanese name, Melanzana, is the Italian word for eggplant.
