The Eyesaur is a recurring monster in the series, being introduced in Dragon Quest VII. It is a horrifying eldritch beast whose entire body is covered in eyes. Its name is a play on the term "eyesore".
Characteristics
Eerily evil undersea monstrosities that lurk at the lowest depths, constantly on the look out for prey with their many menacing eyes and poking, prodding tentacles. Their massive maw is filled with thin teeth designed to munch on any deep divers. Their horrific haunting eyes have been known to flash strangely in the depths of the dark, instantly sending prey into a deep sleep. They also possess strong magic skills, able to cast Kasap to drive every adventurer's defence down in a single swoop.
