The Stump champ is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest XI.
They are the demonic husks of fallen redwood trees animated with the vengeful souls of men.
Characteristics[edit]
Stump champs are felled tree stumps with deep red wood, their remaining foliage having the appearance of dead leaves, and they have bright green eyes with pitch-black sclerae. Their abilities have grown considerably compared to their lesser woody cousins, being capable of debilitating their opponents in many ways and having the ability to bring back their fellow monsters from the beyond with Yggdrasil leaves.
