The Silver sabrecats are ferocious members of the beast family that hunt in packs. These monsters are based on the character Clawde, who is a white, scar-faced sabrecat who served as an NPC in Dragon Quest X. The big cat proved popular among players, and his fur color became the basis for the silver sabrecats, who themselves would be encountered in the same game from version 6 onwards.

Trivia
- The silver sabrecats have changed the color of their manes three times, with their debut (At the time of X's developing updates) being white, their appearances in Heroes II being red, and now to blue in X, XI, Rivals, and Treasures. The change from red to blue was likely to help distenguish them from the red-maned dark sabrecats reappearance in XI.
