Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
After braving Uptaten Towers, taming Saber and parting from Bianca, the Hero is recruited by the faerie Honey to assist the people of Faerie Lea, who are suffering under a never-ending winter. Honey brings the Hero before Queen Treacle, who sent her to find a human to help restore spring to Faerie Lea.
Treacle is a relatively new leader of the faeries. Her predecessor exiled Dwight's father to the Dwarf's Den for writing the book "Lots about Locks", which grants its reader the ability to magically open doors. The Winter Queen convinced young Dwight that Treacle was the one responsible, so the boy stole the Herald of Spring from the faeries and brought it to the Winter Palace.
After defeating the misguided Dwight and the wicked Winter Queen, the Hero and Honey return the Herald to Treacle, who restores spring to the land.
