Waterwing Can
"Here on out, if you ever need to use the can, now you can!"
The Waterwing Can is a key item in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, obtained from King Withers after Bianca and Nera's first audience with the old monarch.
This magical garden tool has the power to revitalize the desiccated Roots of Creation and Lifebuds found scattered around the world by sprinkling them with water. Restored Roots of Creation will heal the party's monsters, function as Zoom points, and allow the player to change the time of day, access monsters stored in the depot, and perform monster synthesis once that feature has been unlocked. Lifebuds will provide small bonuses such as multipliers to experience points gained in battle or scout chance when watered.
A surprise sprinkle from the Waterwing Can may also scare away monsters who are caught off guard, similar to the emote animations in Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key. Foes frightened off in this way will sometimes drop items in their haste to escape. The Can is also capable of revealing hidden items in certain suspicious spots on the overworld.
