The battering ram is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest III. It is a mountain goat with shaggy green fur and an annoying habit of using Sweet Breath on adventurers.
According to IX's bestiary, they obtain this skill by eating funghouls: this is a rare care of monster predation, and is based on real life goats eating mushrooms in addition to plants.
