Ram raider

From Dragon Quest Wiki

The ram raider is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest III.

Characteristics[edit]

Ram raiders and their cousins resemble immense, shaggy goats such as the Alpine Ibex and the Markhor. Though their brownish-orange shaggy coats are more fanciful than their real-life counterparts, the old goats share a similar temperament. In its original appearance, the rams could cast simple fire spells against opponents, but lost the ability to do so when they reappeared many years later in IX. Instead, they gained the ability to psyche themselves up and could perform desperate body slams when the monsters are in grave danger.

These rampant rams will do nothing but nut you, but you'd do well to defend yourself when their tension is high.

They faithfully follow their father's advice to get their heads down and charge headlong into all that life hurls at them.
