Hammibal is a mid-to-high level treasure map boss in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.

Hammibal is a variant of Goreham-Hogg. He has a bright purple snout, dark purple skin, and red, pupil-less eyes. He is wearing a bright red cape with a pale colored belt, boots, and helmet. His helmet also has teal horns and a light green plume. His weapon has a gold chain and a black spiked ball at its end.

Hammibal's main weakness lies in his inability to cast Disruptive Wave, a spell usable by nearly every other high-level boss in the game. This allows the party to utilize the full benefits of stat-boosting spells without fear of having the effects removed by the boss. It is also noteworthy that, unlike the similar Goreham-Hogg, Hammibal cannot score a critical hit, severely reducing the danger he poses.

"Hammibal" is a pun on "ham" and "Hannibal" (a name associated with, among others, a character in the A-Team TV series and a Carthaginian general).
