The Hybird is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest V.

It is a powerful fire-breathing bird with colourful feathers. Its name is a pun on the word "hybrid".

Hybirds appeared from the beginning of the game and have kept their ability to breathe out blazing fire, along with Blessed Breath. When they are enraged, they will also cast Kazammle.
