The MFamilies is revealed to be Amos, the town Hero 6 who developed this peculiar condition after being bitten on the backside by a MFamilies when saving a lost child. The townsfolk are aware that the terror is indeed "their Amos", and forbid the player from revealing the truth to the man: if he learns of nightly transformations, Amos will leave Scrimsley and cannot be recruited into the Party 6.
Instead, it is suggested that the player retrieve the Seeds of reason in Hazy Heights in the hopes that they will cure Amos. Thankful to the Hero 6 for curing him (more or less), Amos offers to join the group on their adventure.
