==Characteristics==
Baron von Bellycose has the appearance of an overweight, purple-skinned [[Demon family|demon]] with gold tattoos on its body, three spikes on top of its head, long pointed ears, and small solid white eyes. It wears a red and white cape that reaches down to its feet and has blue sleeves, leaving its chest and belly bare. The cape is attached to blue trousers with a pair of blue straps underneath its arms. It wears a red loincloth over its trousers, blue and gold shoes with white spats, and gold jewelry on its belly. The demon is now depicted with five fingers on each hand in modern appearances rather than three, like many other monsters. In its left hand, it wields a long gold sceptre topped with the figure of a demon holding up a globe and a crystal orb in its right hand. It is able to attack by telekinetically sending out both orbs to unleash devastating attacks. The demon is highly resistant to many forms of elemental damage and negative status effects, but can fall quickly to physical attacks.

In Hōrai, it is said that there is neither death nor pain, and there is no winter. Penglai is a paradise located in the eastern seas and is populated with Taoist immortals.

Baron von Bellycose is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past.

It is a portly demon sorcerer wielding a tall sceptre in one hand and an orb in the other.

Characteristics[edit]
