The Carbuncle is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII. It is a grotesque flesh monster that can be found in the Demon King's lair.

Characteristics[edit]

Chaotic creepy masses of flesh with the appearance of misshapen heads with a disgusting maw filled with sharp fangs. Their right eye is too big for its body, causing it to bulge out, while the left is exposed. They can create havoc for an unsuspecting party of adventurers by casting Whack to kill with a single spell and the unpredictable Hocus Pocus spell, that can have all kinds of crazy effects on monsters and adventurers alike.
