Ragin' Contagion (病魔パンデルム Panderum Contagion) is a boss in Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, fought inside the Quarantomb, where long ago, it was sealed away by the people of Coffinwell to keep it from infecting the residents.
Story
The Contagion was sealed in a jar in the centre of the Quarantomb years before the events of the game. However during the earthquake at the beginning of the game, the jar was broken and the Contagion was able to cause illness in Coffinwell once again. The player manages to defeat the Contagion and return Coffinwell to normal.
