Fire ball is an item that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest XI. It is a fiery stone containing the essence of a raging inferno that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Fire ball can be found in treasure chests at Mount Huji, Gallopolis*, and the Eerie Valley, can be purchased as a prize from Octagonia's Casino for 80,000 tokens each starting from the second act, or dropped by Brodysseuses. It can be sold for 2,500 gold.
Fire ball is used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:
- Recipe: Sun crown = Slime crown + Fire ball + Equable emerald + Colourful cocoon
- Recipe: Pallium regale = Technicolour dreamcloth + Fire ball + Royal ruby x2 + Equable emerald
- Recipe: Apollo's crown = Slime crown + Fire ball x2 + Spectralite + Technicolour dreamcloth + Crimsonite
- Recipe: Metal king goomerang = Molten globules + Slime crown + Fire ball + Cumulonimbough x2
- Recipe: Deicimators = Serpent bone x2 + Gold bar + Thunderball x2 + Spectralite + Fire ball
