Etymology[edit]
The technicolour dreamcloth's English name is a reference to the 1972 musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which was written by English author Tim Rice with music by famed English composer and impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber. The musical itself features a garment owned by Joseph in the Hebrew Bible known as the coat of many colors.
- In Dragon Quest Heroes, the quest Any Dreamcloth Will Do also references "Any Dream Will Do", one of the popular songs from the musical.
