The Rousing ring, also known as the ring of awakening, is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series. It is designed to help prevent the wearer from falling asleep.

Dragon Quest VIII[edit]
The ring of awakening has a defence bonus of +10, makes the wearer completely immune to sleep, and can be equipped by all characters. It can be created by combining a Gold ring and a Dream blade in the Alchemy pot. It can be sold for 550 gold.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
The rousing ring has a defence bonus of +2, a style bonus of +3, and increases resistance against sleep by 50%. With accessory synthesis, the defence and sleep resistance can be increased.

The recipe book Little Lifesavers contains the recipe for the rousing ring. It can be found in a treasure chest in Heliodor Castle in the Queen's Bedchamber during the second act. If two rousing rings +3 are equipped at once, it is possible to become completely resistant to being put to sleep.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]
The rousing ring reduces the duration of sleep by 40%. Once it has been fully upgraded, the sleep duration will be reduced by 80% and it will gain a +10 bonus to defence. The ring can be obtained by exchanging 6 mini medals once or dropped by Man o' wars.
