It is a demon with a dull grey complexion wearing sparse armour. As their name implies, it is a creature of cold and is utterly impervious to ice attacks.
CharacteristicsEdit
Hypothermions are Demons with the appearance of muscular men with dark grey skin, a large pair of wings on their backs, and a curved pair of horns on their heads. They have spikes jutting from their shoulders, a long tail, and a slightly hunched over stance. The demons have long pointed ears and have a third eye on their forehead, with all three of their eyes being solid yellow and having a menacing appearance. What little clothing they wear consists of bands on their wrists and ankles, straps around their midsection and left shoulders, and a purple codpiece and an armour plate on the left side of their chests. They have a particular affinity for both ice magic and instant death spells, making them vexing opponents if faced in groups. Thankfully, the Hypothermions are hampered by the limited amount of MP they possess.
AppearancesEdit
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly BrideEdit
Dragon Quest XEdit
Hypothermions began appearing in Version 3.5 of the game and are much more powerful this time around, being able to cast Kacrackle and Kathwack. They have also gained the ability to belch out scorching flames and cast Multiheal, as well.
