Etymology[edit]
Purrcival's English name is a play on the knight Percival, who was one of King Arthur's legendary Knights of the Round Table, and the word "purr". Percival was first mentioned by the French author Chrétien de Troyes and he was known as the original hero in the quest for the Holy Grail, but he was later replaced in English and French literature by his fellow knight Galahad.
