The Arrghgoyle is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI.
Characteristics
The arrghgoyle is a dangerous and devilish fiend found deep in dark caverns, animated from a demonic stone statue. Their blue-hued scaled skin and bulky arched wings make them a scary sight in low light. Tall and intimidating, armed with sharp talons and sizzling fire spells that may spell disaster for unprepared parties.
Capable of casting Kaclang, they turn themselves to solid steel, making them near impervious to damage and appearing even more like the gargoyle statues they take their name from. Although the arrghgoyle has only appeared in a single main entry, they have made regular appearance in spinoff games.
