Death Defier is a monster trait that helps the possessor beat the odds and survive a fatal effect.

Death Defier reduces the chance of being instantly slain by 10%, stacking with the possessor's innate resistance if any, whether it be through the Whack family of spells or as the bonus effect of another ability. In the latter case the accuracy of the enemy's attack itself isn't affected by this trait, only the instant death chance. Death Defier can only be obtained by equipping the amulet of endurance or endur ring, dropped by liquid metal slimes and calypso kings respectively.
Death Defier stacks with the effects of Ultra Death Defier for a 60% chance to avoid suddenly dropping dead, but is nullified by the Ultra Crafty Whacker and Crafty Devil traits.
