Clear Thinker is a monster trait that helps the possessing monster stay focused in battle.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]
Clear Thinker reduces the chance of being confused by 10%, stacking with the possessor's innate resistance if any, whether it be through the Fuddle family of spells or as the bonus effect of another ability. In the latter case the accuracy of the enemy's attack itself isn't affected by this trait, only the fuddling chance. Clear Thinker can only be obtained by equipping the amulet of clarity or ring of clarity, dropped by hellbound horrors and guaardvarks respectively. It can also be randomly obtained via the rational ring, available through Monty's tinkering shop in Rosehill.
Clear Thinker stacks with the effects of Ultra Clear Thinker for a 60% chance to avoid confusion, but is nullified by the Ultra Crafty Confuser and Crafty Devil traits.
