Etymology
The sword breaker refers to a class of parrying daggers that is notable for having deep serrations along the shaft of the blade. Though it is unknown if the daggers were indeed capable of breaking swords, the comb-like serrations allowed a man on defense to lock his opponent's weapon in a tight bind.
