The Life bracer is a recurring accessory in the Dragon Quest series that gives a boost to the wearer's Defence and max HP.
Characteristics[edit]
The life bracer is golden and made in the shape of a pair of angel's wings, featuring a large pink heart-shaped gemstone. Although an accessory with the same name and design appeared in IX, it restored the wearer's HP rather than increased their max HP.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
The Life bracer has a Defence bonus of +5, a max HP bonus of +30, and can be equipped by all characters. It can be made in the Alchemy Pot or dropped rarely by Dark devildogs. Life bracers can be sold for 7,000 gold each for the first 5 sold, reduces to 4,900 gold for the 6th to 10th, then drops even further to 2,100 gold each from the 11th sold onward. The bracer can also be used in various recipes for other items, as well:

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit]
The Life Bracer in Dragon quest IX differs from Dragon Quest VIII/XI in that it heals the wearer's health between battle rounds instead of increasing Max HP. The recipe book Brace Yourself contains the recipe for the life bracer. It can be found in a treasure chest on Level B6 of the Battleground.

The life bracer has a defence bonus of +5 and a max HP bonus of +15. It can be received by exchanging 50 mini medals with Minimoggie.
