Wyrmwand is a recurring wand of the single and two-handed variety that fries foes with dragonfire if used as an item in battle.
Localization history[edit]
This weapon shares its Japanese name with the more powerful Dragon staff of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, being written as ドラゴンのつえ. The reason for the alternate English name for this weapon in the ninth and eleventh games is possibly due to the localization team wanting to distinguish this mass-produced wand from the legendary staff.
