The Will-o'-the-whips is a malevolent fire spirit that debuted in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride.

Unlike the pitiful Firespirit, the Whips is a ghost of pure hatred utterly focused in its goal of terrorizing adventurers.
