The Hypernova sword is a recurring sword in the Dragon Quest series. It is the final evolution of the Stardust sword and is the most powerful blade in the games it appears in, at least in terms of raw physical attack.

In Dragon Quest XI, the Hypernova sword is tied in damage with the Supreme Sword of Light. This ultimately leads the player to use either weapon based on personal preference, or give it to the other party members that can wield swords.
