Upsizing seeds are an item introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, and so far exclusive to the Dragon Quest Monsters series. Rather than increasing Stats or adding skill points, these seeds can be used to increase the size of a monster from Small to Large. Large monsters gain several advantages, but their bulk causes them to take up two party slots instead of one.
This seed's shrinking counterpart is the downsizing seed.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]
The size-altering seeds were not present in the game at launch, but were added in the Version 1.0.6 patch.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World[edit]
Both upsizing and downsizing seeds were available in the game at release.
