The Wide-load weighvern is a monster that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest VII. It is a heavyset dragon with purple and blue scales.
Characteristics[edit]
Wide-load weighverns are large bipedal dragons with bumpy purple scales, a large blue belly and underside, and a small pair of wings on its back. They have a pair of copper-colored horns on their heads, copper-colored claws on their hands and feet, and a purple horn on their snouts. The weighverns make violent grabbing attacks with their large claws, can generate localized earthquakes simply by stomping their feet, and can breathe out fiery breath. Although their tough scales grant them some resistance to negative status effects, the bulky dragons can be taken out easily with elemental magic and attacks. They can be encountered throughout the world after the return of the Demon King.
