The putrefido is a recurring monster that was first introduced in Dragon Quest III.
Characteristics[edit]
It is a blue, zombified version of a dog that has long-since expired. One of its eyes hangs out, and some bones protrude here and there.

Putrefido is a combination of putrid and Fido, a famous dog that came to public attention because of his unwavering loyalty to his dead master.
