For the monster class in Dragon Quest VII, see Bone Baron (Class).

The Bone Baron (formerly Master Necrodain & Dead Noble) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest IV, it is an undead aristocrat that rides atop an equine monster.

Characteristics

An aristocratic lancer atop a rabid steed is one way to describe a Bone Baron. Its coloring has a strong emphasis on blue in most of its appearances.

The rider and steed that compose the Bone Baron are both monsters but act as a single opponent in battle. The rider performs most of the attacking duties whilst the steed offers it greater mobility.
