The Mythsteed is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VI.
Modeled after the unicorn of European myths and legends, it is a horse with a golden coat and a red spiral horn on its head.
Characteristics[edit]
Mythsteeds are equines with golden-hued fur, lavender manes, and ruby red hooves and horn, with a dark enough hue that'd be impossible to tell whether or not it's stained with battler's blood. They have no coloration at all to their eyes, giving them a sinister glare and a piercing stare, making it impossible to read when the steed is going to charge head first with it's sharp stabbing horn. The flighty majestic Mythsteeds can also fire off a flurry of frightening Wind Sickles that slice into all foes.
