The Mouseflap is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. It is a rat that uses its large ears as wings.

Characteristics[edit]

Mouseflaps are large grey rats with huge pairs of ears that they use as wings. When the mouseflap make a reappearance in Dragon Quest VII, it appeared to be a recolored version of a mousenap, being an amalgamation of a rat's head with two pairs of wings, and the lower body of a wasp.

Stuck with no skills whatsoever, unable to use their scary stingers and are instead just left to munch on foes with their massive front teeth. They possess two freaky flaps sets of ears that act like odd wings, that they flap furiously to hold themselves aloft in the air. They are never able to stop flapping, leaving them an easy target for aspiring adventurers. They can be found in the Tower in the past, as well as the Burnmont.
