The Soldier's sword is a weapon in the Dragon Quest series. It is a simple sword wielded by castle guards that is only marginally better than the plain old Copper sword.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

The soldier's sword is the Hero's starting weapon and can only be equipped by him. It has an attack bonus of +8 and can be sold for 75 Gold Coins. It cannot be purchased anywhere, but it can be dropped by Skeletons and Lethal armours.
