Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Dave's history is outlined in a book that can be read in Lonalulu: he was once a naval officer of the kingdom of Zwaardsrust, but turned to piracy after the kingdom's destruction at the hands of Mordegon. Later, he met Sylvando, and the two became fast friends.
Dave must usually be spoken to in order to board the Salty Stallion. He accompanies the party for the bulk of their adventure, but only participates in battles during Sylvando's intermission chapter in the Definitive Edition, where he unleashes moves such as the Dave Chop and Dave Kick.
Trivia[edit]
- Stiletto from Dragon Quest Swords is a similar camp toughie with a pink mask.
- In Japanese, Dave is played by Fumihiko Tachiki, who is also the voice of Yangus.
