Squelch can be known naturally by Sham hatwitches, Orc chieftains, and Elysium birds at level 1. In this game, the spell is an enhanced version of the ordinary Squelch that can cure a single ally of multiple negative status effects, including poison, sleep, stun, paralysis, bedazzling, and silencing for 5 MP.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Squelch cannot be learned naturally by any monster, but it can be taught to any by using an ability scroll. It costs 12 MP to cast, has a range of up to two squares away from the caster and can be self-cast, and removes poison from a single party member. The scroll is received as a reward for completing Chapter 5, Episode 8: Find the walking corpses II in the main storyline.
