The Smacker is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest VII. It is light purple variant of the Lips.

Characteristics[edit]

Slippery, particularly strange and purple, slug-like slouchers with green lips that swipe at enemies with their elongated sticky tongues that give enemies gruesome goosebumps that prevent attackers doing a single thing. Their slimy lungs allow them to spew a sweet breath that can send an entire group of adventurers into an almost endless slumber. In later games, smackers have also gained some spellcasting abilities as well, true to their original Japanese name.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]

Smacker appears as a B-rank monster of the Nature family as part of the limited Dragon Quest XI event. It can be recruited from Chapter 2, Episode 3: Seeking the Six Orbs of the event quests at any difficulty and can participate in Jade's Battle Road as a party member.
