Luceus can be played in co-op dungeons, but cannot be played in the regular story mode. Having save data from the previous title grants Luceus costumes for this game's male protagonists.
Luceus appears in Dragon Quest Heroes II as a recurring character that can be played as in co-op dungeons, but is unable to be used in the regular story mode. His moveset is mostly unchanged from the previous game, however [[Zoom]] was replaced with [[Bounce]] due to the former being repurposed for Wild Zone travesal. Additionally he is unable to equip any weapons or shields, being locked to the Captain's sword & Luceus's shield, though he can still equip Orbs and accessories.
