Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeEdit
After passing through the sea gates at Puerto Valor and entering the open ocean, the party's ship is enveloped by a mysterious mist and is grounded on this unearthly sandbank. While waiting for Dave and Sylvando to free the ship, the party encounters the mermaid Michelle, who has been waiting here for years for her love Kainoa to return to her.
The party decides to find this Kainoa in Lonalulu. After discovering the truth about Kainoa's fate, they can lie to Michelle and leave her waiting at the Strand, or reveal the truth and bring her to Lonalulu.
In Act 3, regardless of how the Lonalulu story was resolved in Act 1, Michelle can be found here once again.
