24-carrot bunicorn

From Dragon Quest Wiki

The 24-carrot bunicorn is a gold-studded lepus that is the rarefied version of the Spiked hare, first appearing in Dragon Quest X.

These luxurious lapins are obsessed with flaunting their golden gleam, and assert their haughtiness by using their horns to call down bolts of lightning.

Characteristics[edit]

24-carrot bunicorns are large rabbits with luxurious gold and white coats of fur and a gleaming golden horn on their forehead, much like the fabled unicorn. They have unusual yellow eyes with solid red sclera. They are particularly noted for their ability to conduct electricity with their horns to utilize offensively.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest X[edit]

24-carrot bunicorn appears as the rarefied monster version of the spiked hare starting in Version 1.1.

Etymology[edit]

  • Its name is a play on the term "24 karat", which is a term used to describe 100% pure gold that does not have any other metal mixed.
