The zombiesbane is a powerful sword in the Dragon Quest series. True to name, it deals 50% more damage to creatures from the zombie family in most instances. In games that feature alchemy, it can often be upgraded into the more powerful Zombie slayer.

The zombiesbane has an attack bonus of +67. It can be equipped by the Hero, Warriors, Priests, Merchants, and Sages. It can be bought in Manoza for 9,800 gold coins and sold for 7,350 gold coins.

The Zombiesbane has an attack bonus of +80 and deals 50% more damage to rotting foes. It cannot be purchased until generation 3 though, at the new Whealbrook shop for 11,500 gold. V codified the bonus effect of the weapon, becoming standard until VIII.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation

Dragon Quest VII

The zombiesbane has an attack bonus of +75 and a style bonus of +5. It can be equipped by the Hero, Kiefer, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It can be purchased from the Divine Shrine, Burnmont after the events at the Cathedral of Light, and the Sea Dragon for 15,000 gold and can be sold for 7,500.

Zombiesbanes can also be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at the Casino near Pilgrim's Rest in the present. It is the most powerful weapon the Hero can equip after the events at Alltrades Abbey.

Dragon Quest VIII

The zombiesbane has an attack bonus of +54, and deals 30% more damage to corpses and the like. It can be upgraded into a zombie slayer and can be equipped by the Hero and Jessica, once her knife skill tree lets lets use swords.
