The soldier's sword is a weapon in the Dragon Quest series. It is a simple sword wielded by castle guards that is only marginally better than the plain old copper sword.

The soldier's sword is the Hero's starting weapon and can only be equipped by him. It has an attack bonus of +8 and can be sold for 75 Gold Coins. It cannot be purchased anywhere, but it can be dropped by skeletons and lethal armours.
