The Muddy hand is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest II as a material monster, it has been re-classified as a member of the Undead family in many installments in both the main series and its spinoffs.

The muddy hand is basically an animated human hand made of mud. It has the annoying ability of summoning other muddy hands, making the battle last longer. However, this can be a secret blessing to the player as the player gains the experience of defeating the extra monsters.
