The Admirer is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, debuting in Dragon Quest V.
It can take on the form of anyone in the party, complete with their copied stats and abilities. Its name is a pun based on the words "admire" and "mire".
Characteristics
Gloopy green slimey monsters that slide into battle and have the uncanny agility to perfectly replicate the strength, form and fighting skills of adventurers. Even before they transform they're solid and sturdy enough to be able to defend and prevent deadly damage. The admirer is a blob-like monster, but despite all appearances it is actually quite springy in nature. The original appearance of the admirer was red in color, but on all subsequent appearances the color was changed to a shade of mossy green.

Description | Monsters made of amorphous goo that are best subdued with spells. Try frying or freezing them for the best results. Their green bodies are apparently the result of being raised by bubble slimes after misplacing their parents. |
