Gained MP in order to use Harvest Moon. |
A much stronger Dread herring is faced as a boss in the Temple Palace during the quest to awaken the Earth Spirit, along with a Claw breaker and a Scarfish. Although it possesses much higher attributes and different attacks, it should not pose a significant threat to the party.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit]
The dread herring appears as a B-rank monster of the Undead family.
Etymology[edit]
The Dread herring's name is a play on the term red herring, a literary device that is meant to mislead or distract from a relevant or important question.
