The Prince of darkness is a recurring Dragon Quest series in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IV.
It is a scythe-wielding demon hailing from the underworld with the ability to cast powerful fire magic.
Characteristics[edit]
Princes of darkness are Demons with vermilion-colored skin, orange wings, a long pointy tail, and two pairs of grey horns on their heads. They have muscular bodies, faces with simian features, and four digits on each of their limbs. Their faces and chests are the same color as their wings. In their hands, they carry a wicked sharp scythe almost as large as them. The Princes are much more powerful than their lesser cousins, having the strongest fire spells at their disposal, as well as the ability to seal away the spells of enemy spellcasters or send them to the hereafter with an incantation.

Princes of darkness appeared from the very beginning of the game and are powerful spellcasters much like their original appearance. They have the ability to cast Kazammle, Fizzle, and Thwack, and will even cast Kafrizzle when they become enraged.

The Prince of darkness appears as an A-rank monster of the Demon family as part of the True Dragon Quest IV event alongside Meena on her banner. He can participate in Baalzack's Battle Road as a party member.
