The night clubber is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest IV. As its name suggests, it is a powerful demon that carries an incredibly large club that it uses to bash enemies.
Characteristics
Night clubbers are rotund, lizard-like demons with red or magenta hides holding giant wooden clubs. They have solid yellow eyes, spikes covering their heads, a long green tongue lolling out of their mouths, and a pair of wings on their back. These wings can fly, though due to the night clubbers' immense size, they slam down on the ground, which creates a shockwave, being a blessing in disguise for these big lugs. They appear to be the same type of demon that Balzack transformed himself into after using the imperfect form of the Secret of Evolution. In some games, they are part of the Beast or Dragon family instead.
