The Watermaul wand is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series, first being a one handed staff before being reclassified as a two-hander in more recent games. Its effects have differed from title to title, but it is associated with the roaring ocean.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
The Watermaul wand has an Attack bonus of +74 and a Style bonus of +42. When used as an item, it casts Tidal Wave. Ashlynn, Nevan, and Terry can equip it. It is found in Poseidon's Palace, thought the Ultimate Key is required. It can also be bought for 14,000 gold coins in Felonia or sold for 10,500 gold coins. Lastly, Thriller waves and Killer waves drop them 1/256 of the time.
