The Stark raven is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest III.
Characteristics
Stark ravens are dark blue corvids perched ominously on top of skulls, likely belonging to some unlucky adventurer. They attack by grasping the skulls in their feet and dropping it on enemies. These birds are encountered early in the hero's adventure and do not pose much of a threat, except in Dragon Quest X, since they are first encountered in the Demon Realm.

Dragon Quest Tact
Stark raven appears as a F-rank monster of the Nature family as part of the limited Dragon Quest III event. It can learn Body Slam and Skeletoss naturally and can take part in Armful's Battle Road as a party member. Stark raven can also be recruited from the story Chapter 16, Episode 1: The Platinum Cup Wrapup.
Etymology
Stark raven's name comes from the phrase "stark raving mad", which means completely and wildly insane.
